pfSense - Upgrade from 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 to 2.5.0 fails miserably

Update: The problem were caused by a badly configured gateway that  2.4.5 discards but takes effect when migrating to 2.5.0 So, seems that our well known and beloved pfSense fails when updating from 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 to 2.5.0.  Launched the update from the console as I usually do : after  several minutes, my new 2.5.0 booted and... nothing, nada, zip,zilch,zero.. No network connection. WAN Interface: Up and running, DHCP acquired from the modem.  LAN Interface: Fixed IP, up and running Ping to a famous ping destination: "Host unreachable, stop bothering me with nonsense about n.n.n.n and so" nslookup: "I don't know anything about www.(whatever).com. Go ask your mom." Rolled back to my previous checkpoint (VM rules!):  everything fine... No 2.5.0 for me.  Netgate has a policy of removing old versions for security reasons., so g rab a copy of  2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 isos, memstick and so while you can. There's a lot of repos out there, but be sure to check the ...

Pandemic

This pandemic fcked my plans big time. Maybe the future will be brighter, maybe the future will be darker, but seeing the people  behaving like asshles gives me no hope at all. I said from the day 1 of the pandemic that this sht is airborne and moves also thru aerosols. Sadly no fckin-body seems to understand what the fck is an aerosol...  Also , the people seems to think that their noses are not connected to their lungs, so they go around  with their noses uncovered. For me, is the equivalent to go witch your dck hanging out of your pants. 'Rona infects everyone, and the stupid ones spread it. Checkmate 'Rona, you win.

The truth about eBay's HP iLO and SmartArray licenses

Image
You can find lots of listings on eBay selling  "Lifetime iLO" licenses:     Let me clarify this sht for you: Those keys are generated with a key generator.      The licenses are not coming from "decommissioned servers" or other bullsht that the sellers like to say.     Unless the seller sends you the physical document, originally made by HP of the license, the only you're purchasing is a STRING OF CHARACTERS generated by a guy in 5 seconds with a small program. Basically, you're paying 10 pounds to a person to click a button and send you an email (they not even use eBay messaging system since is recorded and they can be caught in this way) All the above applies also to keys for HP RAID controllers. Please, stop supporting thieves. Do your research. UPDATE: For some reason (maybe one of those eBay thieves felt offended) this post is flagged as "deceptive" by Google Safe Browsing.
